Mat Pilates

Mat Pilates is a style of body weight training done mostly on the floor with the body weight used as resistance. Core principles of Pilates are relaxation, concentration, alignment, breathing, centering, control, stamina, integration and flow. Small equipment such as resistance bands, the Magic circle, hand weights, rollers and small stability balls are used as well to create more resistance for the muscles. The workout tones and stretches the whole body with special focus on the core muscles as well as mobilising the whole spine. Pilates is a safe form of exercise for everyone to perform, with adaptions easily made for injuries, chronic conditions and pregnancy. Pilates can also be very challenging for even elite athletes and the instructor will make sure each client is working at their own level. Slow Flow Vinyasa Yoga Vinyasa yoga is a flowing style of yoga with a focus on movement with the breath. Vinyasa yoga improves the mobility of your joints and spine as well as building strength in the core and all muscle groups. Each class will leave you feeling well balanced and fully relaxed.
